Teamwork Security and Training Services was proud to take part in the Devon Mind 10K 2026, supporting mental health awareness and a local charity doing important work across Devon.

The event brought together runners, volunteers and supporters for a morning of fundraising and community spirit. Set against the backdrop of Plymouth’s waterfront, the 10K route offered fantastic views of the city’s historic harbour and maritime surroundings.

Supporting Mental Health Awareness in Plymouth

Representing Teamwork Security were Managing Director Paul Symons and Marketing & Business Development Manager Rebecca Chatfield.

Both took on the 10K challenge to show their support for Devon Mind and the vital work the charity carries out across the county.

Devon Mind is a local mental health charity dedicated to improving mental health and wellbeing. Through its services and community initiatives, the charity helps people access support and encourages open conversations about mental health.

Events such as the Devon Mind 10K play an important role in raising awareness. They also bring local businesses and communities together to support a shared cause.

Running Through Plymouth’s Maritime Community

As a Plymouth-based business, Teamwork Security has strong connections with the city’s maritime and port industries.

Therefore, the waterfront route held particular significance for Paul and Rebecca. Along the way, they ran past several facilities belonging to Teamwork Security clients.

There was also some friendly competition with the team from Cattewater Harbour Commissioners, who returned as headline sponsors of this year’s event.

It was great to see so many familiar faces from Plymouth’s business and maritime community taking part.

The Importance of Mental Health and Wellbeing

At Teamwork Security, we recognise the importance of supporting mental health and wellbeing, both in the workplace and within our wider community.

Taking part in events like the Devon Mind 10K provides an opportunity to raise awareness. Equally, it encourages conversations about mental health and the importance of looking after ourselves and others.

Whether through running, volunteering, fundraising or simply showing support, everyone can play a part in making a difference.

A Big Thank You to Everyone Involved

Finally, a huge well done to everyone who completed the Devon Mind 10K 2026!

We would also like to thank the event organisers, volunteers and marshals who helped make the morning such a success.

Congratulations to Devon Mind and everyone involved in delivering another successful community event.
