This week, Teamwork Security & Training Services’ Managing Director, Paul Symons, and Marketing & Business Development Manager, Rebecca Chatfield, travelled to the Isles of Scilly to deliver an annual ISPS security audit and quarterly security drills for one of our valued port clients.
As part of our ongoing support, the visit focused on assessing compliance with the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code, reviewing current security arrangements and testing procedures through a series of practical security drills. These regular exercises help ensure that port facilities remain compliant, prepared and able to respond effectively to a range of potential security scenarios.
The visit also provided an opportunity to meet with Harbourmaster Dale and Deputy PFSO Joe, discussing current operations, sharing best practice and reinforcing the importance of maintaining a proactive approach to maritime security.
Following the successful completion of the audit and drills, Paul and Rebecca were invited on a tour of the island, providing valuable insight into the unique operational environment of the Isles of Scilly and the challenges involved in maintaining security within a remote port community.
Managing Director Paul Symons said:
“Working closely with our clients throughout the year allows us to build strong relationships and gain a real understanding of their operations. Annual audits and regular security drills are not just about compliance – they’re about ensuring people, facilities and processes are prepared should an incident occur. We’d like to thank Dale, Joe and the wider team for their warm welcome and continued commitment to maintaining high standards of maritime security.”
Teamwork Security & Training Services provides ISPS consultancy, audits, exercises, drills and training to ports and port facilities across the UK, helping organisations meet regulatory requirements while developing practical, resilient security procedures.
We would like to thank everyone at the Isles of Scilly for their hospitality and look forward to continuing to support the team in the future.
