Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser
At Teamwork Security and Training Services Ltd we provide services that are specifically designed to meet the requirements governing the carriage of dangerous goods by road under the current ADR Agreement.
Your organisation may not legally be required to appoint a Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser (DGSA) but we can give guidance on what your legal requirements are and what level of service your organisation requires.
DGSA monitoring compliance services include:
- Complete at least one Initial comprehensive audit to identify each individual customer needs.
- Ensure compliance in line with current legislation (CDGR and ADR 2023).
- Safety obligations of main participants (consignor, carrier and consignee) and other participants involved (loader, packer, filler, tank container / portable tank operator and unloader).
- Ensure classification, identification, and any special provisions have been implemented.
- Development of procedures and emergency arrangements, and measures to be taken to avoid recurrence of accidents, incidents or serious infringements.
- Identify if High Consequence Dangerous Goods are involved (HCDGs) and where necessary review the current security plan as required by Chapter 1.10.3.1.2.
- Provide Annual Report as required by Chapter 1.8.3.3.
- Identify any shortfalls, then provide recommendations and advise on actions to be taken to ensure compliance.
- Ongoing advice and support.
5 Day DGSA Training courses:
- This can be delivered on-site with sufficient candidates, or alternatively at our DGSA training location.
- Training has been developed to assist candidates in sitting and passing the Scottish Qualification Authority examinations to obtain a Vocational Training Certificate that is required for the appointment of a Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser.

Bespoke courses are designed depending on what dangerous goods are transported, the mode of carriage (ie: packages, bulk or tanks) and the types of containment systems (ie: limited quantities, packages, IBCs, bulk or tanks).
